WHO CAN ATTEND THE SHOW?

Form & Function is open to industry personnel involved with the building, architecture, construction and building design industries. Entry is free for PRE-REGISTERED visitors. If you register at the exhibition, a $20 entry fee will apply. Online registration will be available on the website from December 2007. The organiser reserves the right to verify the trade status of registrants prior to issuing access cards, particularly where there is no prior database history for the registrant.

Please note that for safety reasons, persons under the age of 16 will not be admitted to Form & Function. Nursing infants in front packs and backpacks are the only exception. Prams and strollers will not be allowed inside the exhibition halls. A crèche service will be available.

HOW DO I REGISTER TO ATTEND THE SHOW?

Trade entry is free if you PRE-REGISTER before the show.
There is a $20 cost if you register at the show.
Online registration opens in December 2007.
Registrations must be accompanied by one kind of professional ID:

    • Business card in your name
    • Employee verification on company letterhead
    • Membership of a relevant industry association

     

WILL I RECEIVE MY BADGE BEFORE THE SHOW?

All applicants who pre-register before cut off dates will receive badges in the mail 7 to 14 days before the show. If for some reason you do not receive your entry card in time, or if you are travelling to the show from out of town and you depart before your card arrives, do not despair as we will have you on our database and can reprint you a new badge on the spot at the show. Badges for registrations received before 4.00pm on 24 May will be posted to applicants prior to the show. If your registration is received after this date, you will be able to collect your badge from the registration counter.

 

WHERE DO I REGISTER AT THE SHOW?

Visitor registration counters are at the entrance to the exhibition. You can register on the day but you will be charged a fee of $20 per person.

 

WHAT IF I FORGET MY BADGE?

Pre-registered visitors may obtain replacement badges at the registration desk without filling out another registration form. You will already be on our database.

 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

There is no entry fee for trade visitors who pre-register to attend the exhibition, however if you register at the exhibition an entry fee of $20 will apply.

 

CAN STUDENTS COME TO THE EXHIBITION?

The organisers of designEX and Form & Function would like to inform all Architectural and Design Students that the show will now ONLY be open to students on the SATURDAY 12th APRIL 2008.

Please be aware that no students will be allowed free entry on the Thursday 10th and Friday 11th April.

If students wish to attend the event on Thursday or Friday they MUST be accompanied by one registered professional per student and a fee of $20 per student will apply.  Entry Passes can be purchased at the information desk located in the foyer of the show.

Yes - Students of architecture, building and construction do not have to complete registration to attend free of charge on Saturday 11th April ONLY. A student ID card and a letter from your institution confirming course name must be presented to gain entry. Students who wish to attend on Thursday or Friday will be required to pay the $20 registration fee on the door. Students may purchase seminar tickets at the exhibition or in advance via the website.

 

MAY I BRING GUESTS TO THE SHOW?

Please do not bring family or friends who are not design professionals to the show. Genuine trade visitors only will be admitted to the exhibition.

 

ARE CHILDREN PERMITTED IN THE EXHIBITION HALLS?

Please note that for safety reasons, children under the age of 16 will not be admitted into Form & Function exhibition. Nursing infants in front packs and backpacks are the only exception, prams and strollers will not be allowed inside the exhibition halls. This applies to the children of both visitors and exhibitors. Under no circumstances are any children permitted into the exhibition halls during Move In and Move Out of the show.  A free crèche service is provided to visitors to Form & Function the crèche also provides the use of pouches/backpacks for infants. 

If you choose to ignore this advice, you are required to complete a form at the show and in doing so agree to accept full responsibility for the safety and security of the pram/stroller and child within the pram/stroller, and indemnify dmg world media against any potential claims relating to the use of a pram or stroller within the venue.  dmg shall not be liable for Claims made by any person (including without limitation, any Visitor, any other exhibitor at the show, the operator of the Venue or any government department or agency), as a result of the acts or omissions of the visitor, Exhibitor, its employees, servants, agents or licensees or anyone else engaged by or acting through or at the request of the Exhibitor (including as a result of the negligence of any of those people).
